Honor comes not from serving, but how one served. And whom they served with!

About Me                                                                                                      My Quotes

Some might think a person is vain to have a web site for himself, instead of the usual facebook, twitter, or other social sites. For those I would only say to each their own.

I'm just a humble man, who has the desire to help others by giving them somewhere to go to talk, chat, blog, vent, cuss, discuss and or, just laugh.

Anyone who knows me, also knows that I will make fun of myself if it helps them have a moment of laughter in their lives. Much like the court jester who had the job of making people laugh, only without the silly outfit.

So, if you're one of those people who can only see the negative in everything, a simple act can resolve the issue..., just don't let my site rent space in your brains. Go find something to do that you find productive and leave me and my friends here to continue with positive interactions.

My family is the very fiber of my being, for without them I am nothing. Not to say I haven't been the cause of the trials and tribulations over the years, but I've honestly tried to make the best father, husband, son, or brother I possibly could.

We only live one life, living that life to it's fullest is a mission which must be taken seriously, while having as much fun as you can, so long as that fun is legal and doesn't hurt someone.

Many who know me, knows that I have adopted four children, and had countless other children in the community where I worked have adopted me as their second poppa.

Life wouldn't be worth living if we didn't have them in our lives, though at times they might feel differently. As I believe in giving them love, as well as direction in life, which at times requires a firm approach.
I have four-legged children who are nearly as important to me as my children with two legs.

Meeshka, seen here on the left, is my baby girl. She has been my best friend for years and hopefully years to come.

I enjoy working with animals, in as humane a manner possible.

Seen left is me laying a horse down, to gain his trust and respect.

Horses are such majestic creatures, I have the upmost love and respect for them.

Time seems to be growing shorter, the need for material things seems to be less, where the need for enjoyment in the little things now seems more important.

When I'm not teaching, I like to grab one, or all of the kids and go hiking. Enjoying the world that God gave us seems like the only thing I should be doing, but it doesn't provide a paycheck. So I enjoy the treasures God gave us on my off duty time.

One thing is for sure, nothing in this world can reduce your stress like talking a long walk in the beauty of this earth. Give it a try sometime, you might be surprised how good you feel afterwards.

Life is to short to sit on the couch all the time, so get up and get moving!

So what is there to know about me? Really not that much.

I lived in the small town of Bixby, Oklahoma. I graduated Bixby High School in 1985 and joined the United States Marines. Where I served honorably for six years.

I served with the 2nd Bn, 7th Marines from 1986, to 1989. Then transferred to Quantico MCB, to serve as an Instructor from 1989 to 1991.

Returning home in 1991 and starting a colorful and rewarding career in law enforcement.
After starting a law enforcement career in my home town of Bixby, Oklahoma. I was sure I had found my calling in life, even though some rocky moments of life created doubt. I eventually matured to become a respected official in law enforcement.

I found myself in the spotlight for 15 seconds, when I was showcased in one of the World's Scariest Police Chase Videos (seen left).

After serving 21 years in law enforcement, 12 of which as a Chief of Police. I found it was time to hang up the guns, shadow box the badge and pick up the pen and begin teaching the future of Oklahoma law enforcement.

So here I am, living the dream of teaching, not only my dream, but one of my father's as well.

God rest his soul, I made life hard on my father, but he continued to love me during the rough times, as well as those times of prosperity. Thank you Dad, I love you and tell Mom hello for me.

So, on to being the criminal justice program director for a local college, where I've already made my mark, and found my specialty in teaching.

So you might ask about my beliefs?

I believe in:

GOD,
keeping Christ in Christmas, the United States of America, family, friends and the God given rights of all.
Saying Merry Christmas, instead of Happy Holidays.

If you don't like hearing that, than just don't listen to me. Go find some peace for yourself and maybe you will be happy.
